This project did not start out with the intention of building a brand new home. The family bought this multi-acre lot with the intention of remodeling the original farmhouse. After it was determined that the years of abandonment had deemed the remodel not possible, the family reached out to Mulberry Builders to build a brand new custom farmhouse. Our design team helped this young family create the perfect floor plan for their growing family. The large open kitchen and family room is the perfect space to enjoy family gatherings. The bonus room above the garage creates an opportunity for a home office or guest bedroom. The over 2,000 square feet of unfinished basement allows this home to grow with the family.
Brooks Lane
After purchasing this plot of land, the owners had a tough task on their hands of making a home fit on this rocky and hilly lot. Many factors were taken into account when planning the construction of this home. Capitalizing on the natural rolling hills of the land, Mulberry Builders was able to build a home that fits into its surroundings and gave the family everything they needed to suit their busy family’s needs.
The property this home was built on has been in the owner’s family for decades. This working cattle farm would soon double as the home for a family relocating to ensure the sustainability of the farm. With so many wonderful options on the property to build the home, the team at Mulberry Builders helped the homeowners find the perfect location on the farm. The large garage and thoughtfully designed mudroom are perfect for coming in after a hard day’s work on the farm. The custom beams in the vaulted ceiling and the stone fireplace in the family room allow the perfect spot to relax after a long day’s work. Waking up and stepping straight out to a covered deck off the master suite that overlooks the farm is a great way to start the day, followed by a shower or bath in the spacious, classically designed master bathroom. This new home was intentionally designed to blend in with its surroundings as if it’s been on the farm for generations.
